The Registered office will be where official documents relating to the company are stored and held for public inspection upon request.

The Registered Office service from City Address will allow you to use one of our addresses as the registered office of your limited company. All official mail received on your behalf will be delivered directly to your email inbox on the same day we receive it. We will also store your statutory documents on file and offer facilities for public inspection upon request.

Your Dedicated Address

As a limited company (LTD, PLC, CIC etc) you are required to have a registered office, whilst this can be your home address (or any other physical address) you should be aware that this will become public information and will be freely available on many public databases.

What is a registered office?

The Companies Act, requires all incorporation’s to have an official address where official documents can be delivered to the company such as letters from HMRC, Companies House and other legal authorities. This address will become public information and will be freely available online.

Can I use my home address as my registered office?

Yes of course. Providing your home address is within the same legal jurisdiction as your company you can use your home address if you wish and don’t mind this becoming public information.

Before choosing to use your home address you should be aware that this will be published online. You should also carefully check your lease, tenancy agreement, mortgage agreement and insurance policies as these often contain clauses preventing “business use”

What is included in the Registered Office Service?

The Registered Office Service from City Address will allow you to use one of our dedicated business addresses as the registered office of your company. We will keep a copy of all your statutory documents on file and offer facilities for public inspection upon request.

We will accept deliveries of all your official mail such as letters from Companies House, HMRC an other legal authorities and deliver them directly to your email inbox (regular forwarding by mail available too)

What will my Registered Office be?

Unlike other providers, City Address do not use box, suite or unit numbers on our Registered Office Service (unless you would like to)

Is there anything I cannot received?

As a standalone service the Registered Office Service (with or without the Directors Address add on) is to be used exclusively as the Registered Office of your company as such letters from customers, suppliers, banks etc are not included.

*same day service applies for formations submitted before noon and depend on Companies House current processing time. Although this is usually same day on rare occasions during Companies House busy times this may become next day.

Managed Change of Address

Pushed for time? Take the strain out of changing your Registered Office and/or Directors Service Address with the managed change of address service. City Address will file the required documents either online or offline to ensure the change of address is completed without delay.

Dormant Company Management

Not ready to trade, no intentions of trading, simply reserving the company name? If your company is dormant City Address offer a dormant company management service meaning we'll take care of the company until your ready to use it. For just £19.99 per year City Address will ensure your companies obligations under the companies act are met including filing confirmation statements, annual returns and maintaining your PSC register.

Companies House filing fees are also payable which vary depending on the type of filing.

Renewals 

All services provided by City Address renew on the 1st of the Month. Although this may mean your first renewal notice may come sooner than expected this will not be for the amount expected. Your first renewal will be adjusted to take account of your actual signup date.

If for example you signup to our services on a monthly basis on the 10th May your first renewal will be issued on 1st June minus the equivalent of 10 days service, however if you signup to our service on 31st May your renewal will still be issued on 1st June but for zero.
